Fee management is efficient when every payment points at a challan, and every challan points at a student and a period. Outstanding balances then come from the books, not from memory.
What to track
- The student’s current fee plan and any admission or arrears balance
- Generated months (challans), including unpaid and partially paid
- Cash received, by day and by receiving account
- What remains on each challan after a part payment
Partial payments are where spreadsheets usually fail. A family may pay admission on one day and tuition on another. Those receipts belong on different challans, and a daily cash book should still list each amount.
Idara365 keeps fee plans, generated challans and fee payments connected so finance can review the day and still open the student’s remaining balance.
